Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Poor digestion of foods and food allergies may be linked to IBS. As we age, we become enzyme deficient and sugar intolerant. Sugars are not just simple sugars, but they are also grains, dairy, fruit and even vegetables have natural sugars. As you age, this intolerance may escalate and the bloating can turn into explosive bowel movements, urgency, cramping, and constant distrubing flatulence. What can you do? Enzymes are extremely effective and investigating your food sensitivities and clearing for them can be extremely effective. Learn how to do this at home in The Food Allergy Cure. It can turn your life around. And you can enjoy eating and traveling much more. This is not something you need to live with the rest of your life.

Are you saying there is a
cure? I have it at age 52 and am dealing with it. My 13 year old son has it worse than me. He cannot eat wheat or a variety of other grains or he spends the day in the bathroom and on the couch. It makes me feel so bad for him at his sweet age of 13. Any suggestions?

Dear cherylanne,
There definitely may be a solution. have you seen my book, MicroMiracles, Discover the Healing Power of Enzymes.
Enzymes may be helpful. I have seen people’s lives turned around. Mine was.

I seem to be doing better taking enzymes. I have tried enzymes in the past, but I don’t think I took enough to do any good. Now I am taking them more regular and it really does seem to be helping.
When all of this first started, I did notice that sugar caused me to be bloated. Of course, then I got worse, and I tried everything but nothing helped.
I’m currently taking Pancreatin that are PH enteric coated and it covers amylase, protease, lipase.

My 17 year old daughter has been suffering with bad stomach aches and pains for years. They happen randomly and also are worse during her periods. Her periods are not regular, sometimes skipping several months. X-Rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, and colonoscopy have all had negative results. We wanted to rule out a gastro condition before investigating a “female” condition. Her gastroenterologist diagnosed her with IBS because he couldn’t find anything wrong.
We were at wits end and currently we are seeking alternative help. They suggested she take”Bioset”.
I am wondering if we should check for endometriosis. Please offer any suggestions you may have.
Thank you so much!

I also suffer from IBS and I began to take digestive enzymes, however I took them before my meal in the morning and I suffered from severe diarrhea for the entire morning. Are there side effects from taking them on an empty stomach? Does it take a while to get used to the enzymes?
Thank you,
Courtney

I need help! I originally bought your food allergy cure book in the beginning of March after I got my tonsils out in the beginning of February. After the procedure I lost weight and could no longer digest anything properly. I was living off of laxatives until I went to the doctor and she said I have IBS. She put me on Miralax which worked for a little bit but then I was either losing weight every day by “going” too much or getting constipated for days and days not going at all. I then went to the health food store and the women sugggested that I was having too much soy. I’m staying away from it now and it is helping slightly but it’s definately not the main reason of all of my problems. When I found myself extremely backed up all over again I tryed internal cleansing’s which worked to a certain extent but never enough to totally fix me. I’m going to be seventeen the end of this month and a senior in highschool and I just want to find out how to live my life normally without worrying about what I can and can’t eat, when I need to find a bathroom and if I should go out or not constantly. These lasts few months I’ve been experiencing extreme stress, anxiety, fatigue, headaches, food cravings, starving myself, and depression. These symptoms are not me. I’ve always been a young optimistic, extremely energetic person. I’ve been a dancer and gymnast practically my whole life and I can’t perform to my best ability feeling this way. It’s like my life’s being taken over by what I put into my body I just sit home and wonder what’s wrong with me. My mom and I have tried everything from the regular doctor to blood and allergy tests, an ultrasound and Xrays. She’s constantly worried about me and we don’t know what to do next except for go to a specialist. But what if that doesn’t work? We feel stuck and I’m beyond frustrated. What should I do?

Dear Jessica,
I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I have a 17 year old, so I can completely empathize with you. Have you tried an enzyme? It sounds as though you have some food sensitivities and an enzyme may be extremely helpful. Otherwise we do have BioSET practitioners all over the United States who may be extremely helpful. Where do you live?

Hi,
I first suffered from IBS when I was 10 years old. The doctors originally thought it was a food allergy so I tried different diets for years which never really worked, until finally I went to a Chinese Herbalist who completely changed my life.
He told me the IBS was from tension in my stomach. He gave me some herbs which calmed the stress in my stomach down and cooled my body, it worked. I went from waking up in the middle of the night every couple of weeks with diarrhea, nausea almost every morning and bloating and stomach cramps a lot to absolutely no symptoms at all.
Now I’m 27 I rarely need the herbs any more but I still get IBS symptoms when I’m very tense or stressed.
Not everyone gets it because different people feel stress in different ways or in different areas of their body.
I think IBS is probably brought on by different reasons by I also think stress and tension is a big one.

I just came across this website while searching for some food allergy information. It looks very helpful for some people. I thought I would also mention an additional helpful site on IBS–it is helpforibs.com and it is worth looking into for people suffering from IBS. –anything that helps, right?

Hi Dr Cutler,
I am greatly influenced by your work. I am currently suffering from indigestion and acne. I am based in London and have ordered your home treatment kit and enzymes and will start treatments soon. Can the home treatment help me resolve my conditions completely? Do you have any practitioner in London trained by you who uses your biomeridian test?

Ellen, you are absolutely right about digestive enzymes. My I had terrible IBS. I started taking enzymes and probiotics and I felt better within the first week. Six months later, I am IBS symptom free for the past 5 weeks.

Dear Dr Cutler,
After taking Gastric Ease since 15 Nov 07 as recommended which is more than a month ago, my mouth ulcer especially on the gums, are still not healed. If they do they will take a long time (slightly more than a month), although now I don’t feel so painful.
I am still taking prednisolone (3mg) a day under my immunologist instruction. Though she doesn’t believe a person can suffer from enzyme deficiency, she didn’t say anything even when I told her I was taking enzymes which helped me to relieve my indigestion.
It looks like I’m also suffering from protein/fat as well as carbohydrate intolerances. When I went through the questionnaires on Protein/Fat intolerance from your book “MicroMiracles” I have the following answers:
1) Bloating immediately after meals or within 2 hours (But now not so severe, though have some burping even taking Gastric Ease before meals and in between meals)
2) Chronic digestion symptoms including constipation
3) Osteoporosis (My doctor prescribed etidronate disodium and calcuim tablets)
4) A tendency toward outbreaks of canker sores.
5) Respiratory problems such as coughing & slight breathlessness after meals.
Do you think I should take protease together with carbohydrate enzymes as well?
I had gone through X-Ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy and all proved negative. Later next month I’m going for colonoscopy as recommended by doctor.
Thanks
Edwin Tan

Dr.Cutler,
I live in the New York City area and would like to see someone in regards to my 12 years feeling of near syncope. I have associated it with oily, fatty or gassy foods. I have done colonoscopies, Upper endoscopies, MRIs, I have seen a Cardiologist, Endocrinologists, Urologist and Neurologists, all types of blood work and everything comes back normal. It all started a day or two while still in the hospital for a hysterectomy and has continued throughout the years, sometimes on a daily basis for months on end. My only ease is when I try eating only bland foods and the same food every day. One neurologist that my Primary Care Physician referred me to suggested that I should try some medication for Abdominal epilepsy, it just so happened that I had a very bad case of poison ivy at the time and was not able to start the medication. I just saw another GI doctor who indicated that I may be suffering from lack of good bacteria in my intestines from antibiotics given after my surgery 12 years ago. one day ago she started me on Probiotic Florastor, which am to take for two weeks. I saw a nutritionist yesterday who suggested taking Beano but I have decided not to at the moment..waiting to see whether the Florastor will work.
I am really desperate now because my whole social life depends on how and what I eat. My near syncope always starts right after my stomach feels messed up and sometimes last for hours after which am tired and drained. Also, I have noticed that when this happens and I move my bowels(which most times I have from 2-6 bowel movements) even after having a full meal, I am then totally hungry like I have not eaten for days. The bowel movement does not bother me as much as the near syncope feeling. I work but I have stopped going for walks by myself because am afraid of actually passing out(which incidentally has never happened over the 12 years with this condition, but I am afraid).
I need your opinion..I just happened to come across your book last night and bought it…The food Allergy Cure. Not sure why but I bought it because I had never heard of you before. I was reading one of the stories of the 81 year old(Betsy) woman and saw the part of her always having to constantly eat to avoid feeling lethargic or faint and that’s exactly how I feel. So if there is anyway that you can help me I would very much appreciate.
