Alka Seltzer

I was just reading today that Alka Seltzer is going to reinstate its very old ad,  We remember the “plop plop fiz fiz, oh what a relief there is” but the one they are referring to is:  “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing”  Do you remember that?  I certainly do.

But i wish I could afford an advertisement for my gastric ease enzyme.  It is far superior than alka seltzer, works instantly and no harmful side effects at all.  Truly truly amazing enzyme.  Read about it my MicroMiracles and check it out.  i suggest taking it on vacations, because we tend to eat large quantities and strange combinations that leave us feeling like “I can’t believe I at that or I can’t believe I ate the whole thing” or I can’t believe I had three margaritas.  Gastric ease enzyme is the best enzyme for reflux, bloating, nausea, belching and feeling so full you feel like you are going to burst.  Take it with foods or immediately after foods or in between foods.  i give you the exact description in MicroMiracles.  Don’t leave home without them.  http://www.enzymesinc.com/wellzymes/gastric-ease-vs.-the-purple-pill.html

post partum depression

Those mothers who experience post partum depression are rarely treated or even acknowledged that they are experiencing an emotional breakdown,   and with the responsibility of a newborn and possibly other children, it further intensifies the situation.  Since Brook Shields the actress and model had experienced this and spoke about it and now she is pregnant again, there has been more attention and conversation.  I truly feel diet is paramount.  Eating a balanced diet during pregnancy and especially after the baby is born can really prevent depression.  Many women, especially if nursing tend to drink fruit juices that have high amounts of sugar.  This can cause hypglycemia of which the symptoms are depression, mood swings and the blues.   Remember to eat often can also prevent low blood sugar.  And eating more vegetables, good protein sources and drinking a good amount of water can keep the mothernourished and balanced.  Fruit is fine if it is eaten as the whole fruit and eaten sparingly is perfect.  Sugar is the culprit.  Program yourself to watch the sugar intake and try a digestive enzyme before meals.  Digestive enzymes can stop cravings, help absorb the good amino aciids to make the neurotransmitters for stabilizing mood, and nourish the body as they ensure delivery of nutrients.  Again watch the sugars in the form of fruit juices, sodas, breads, and careful about diet sodas.  They are just as bad as the sugar.  These little tips can make a huge difference.

Insomnia and food allergies

It could be that what you are eating, or rather the foods you are sensitive is causing you problems with sleeping.  More than 50 percent of American adults exprience insomnia at least a few nights a week.  Sleep deprivation causes reliance on artificial stimulants to sustain them through the day.  Not everyone needs 8-9 hours of sleep.  Generally if you’re able to wake up on time without an alarm clock, you’re getting enough rest.  If even an alarm clock can’t rouse you, you probably aren’t sleeping as much as you should. I have found poor digestion, food allergies and impaired liver detoxification to be the cause of insomnia.    Over the years I have seen the following food sensitivities to be the underlying root of insomnia: corn, wheat, dairy, caffeinated products and sugars.

Taking a digestive enzyme before meals and a new sleep-enhancing enzyme formula stabilizes sleep patterns and improves sleep quality.  Rid those food allergies and eat less food will help with better sleeping patterns.

Chronic Pain- it is what you eat

How many millions of people every day suffere chronic pain?  The amount of advil, aspirin, tylenol etc that are used on a daily basis is staggering.  For many people chronic pain has to do with inflammation as a result of what they are eating.  I have an experiment for you.  If you are suffering chronic pain- try eliminating sugar, grains alcohol, and dairy products in your diet.  ( no refined sugar at all).  I am certain many of you will notice  substantially diminished pain and inflammation.  These foods for many reasons provoke inflammation, and autoagressive reactions causing increased pain and disability.  Try a low carbohydrate diet, less food, and completely eliminate sugar in every way shape or form.  You will be able to live on less anagesics.  Try a digestive enzyme before meals.  it reduces your craving for these foods.  You may also try a raw diet.  This can also detoxify and reduce the pain as well.  And use protease one-three a day in between meals.  the best anti-inflammatory enzyme.

Hormone Allergy

Most women are sensitive  to their own hormones.   In fact Premenstrual Syndrome and premenopause symptoms can be easily resolved when this sensitivity is cleared.  The three most common hormones that women are sensitive are estrogen, progesterone and thyroxine.

Estrogen sensitivity may cause fibrocystic breasts, fibroids and endometriosis as well as weight gain and modd swings and asthma later on in life

Progesterone sensitivity is the most severe in terms of mood swings, depression and bloating and puffiness.  It can also cause rashes, muscle pain, and breast tenderness premenstrually as well as asthma

Throxine is very common.  This hormone is the primary hormone secreted by the thyoid gland.  An allergy to this hormone can cause weight gain, rashes, depression and fatigue and contribute to other allergies.  Thyroxine sensivities are made worse by drinking caffeine and eating refined sugar and carbohydrates.

Soy and its value?

I couldn’t help but mention the latest news about soy.  It seems as though soy is not the wonder food that we have all heard over the last decade at least.  It does not seem to lower the bad cholesterol, reduce blood pressure, or prevent osteoporosis or even some protect against certain cancers .  How is it that we hear of something like soy or female hormones or antiinflammatories  and begin using it or eating it  and often in excess and then there is evidence announced that all of this is may be some  fabrication.  how does this all begin?  And what can we believe anymore.?  I believe what I had seein in my clinic, with my own eyes and ears  over 25 years what works.    And my books are a complete accounting of this clinical based  evidence.  I know enzymes reduce craving.  i know people are allergic to many foods.  And I know enzymes work and work in almost everyone. And I know good eating breeds good humans.

How can we know what is true or false.  One author that says it very well is Dr.David Hawkins, and his books, Power Verse Force and his new book, Truth Verse Falsehool.  Muscle testing is a perfect tool for learning the truth or falsity of an object, idea, or person.  I have been doing muscle testing for many years and my accuracy is often impeccable.  It is the universe speaking, so the accuracy is a definite.  I must now test soy and see what I find.  I am sure there are other redeeming features that is being overlooked in this article.  Time will tell.  So what do you do?  Eat tofu moderately, and eat it because it tastes good rather than it only being nutritious

Asthma - complementary therapies do work

”A tailored approach, involving cockroach extermination and using air cleaners to reduce dust, smoke and levels of other indoor allergens may consequently reduce asthma symptoms in inner-city children, new study finding”….article appearing today Sunday January 22, 2006 entitled  At-home changes may help control asthma symptoms

My first book, Winning the War Against Asthma and Allergies which was first published in 1997 and will be published at the end of 2006 revised and updated  is about complementary therapies for those dealing with asthma.

Asthma can be won with  complementary therapies.  Diet, good digestion, and a new innovative natural allergy clearing called BioSET can effectively improve or cure (yes cure) this condition.   Working with asthmas for years now with thousands of patients, I have seen a lack of education in the area of diet, food allergies, and environmental toxicity.

Eaging sugar is clearly the first step in solving this battle.  The more sugar you eat, in terms of refined sugar foods, grains, sugary snacks, artificial sugars, food colorings  etc  the more your immune system is compromised and you are increasingly  vulnerable  to viruses and infections.  Viruses usually trigger asthma;  Other areas are good digestion (proper digestion also improves the immune system’s work) and good digestion occurs with taking a digestive enzyme with at least one meal a day.  Cleaning up the diet with organic, pesticide free foods, eating less portions, cleaining up the  environment with filters, air and water are paramount, as well as using chemical free cleaning supplies for your body and your household.

Most asthmatics are allergic to mold.  Do you realize that eating yeast foods, such as cheese, sugar, vinegar, yeast, breads, pasta, ice cream, and fermented foods will cause the same reactions as exposure to mold.  So If you are an asthmatic and you are susceptible to allergic reactions from mold, reduce your intake of mold producing foods.

And I have never met an asthmatic who was not allergic to cats.  If you have a cat and are an asthmatic and would like to keep your kitties, please read my book or check out my website and find a BioSET practitioner near you.

An education in this area is critical.  Asthma can be reduced and can be prevented.  Did you know that eczema is usually a precursor of asthma.  And eczema is a result of allergies.  Citrus foods is the number one allergy for eczema as well as milk and wheat. Clear the eczema and asthma can be prevented.

Children’s development and growth

I am sitting in a N.Y. hotel finishing my week of PR for my new book, MicroMiracles, Discover the Healing Power of Enzymes.  It is Sunday morning - I was reading some recent articles on Reuters  on health.  One that caught my attention -

Children who are short for their age may perform more poorly on tests of intelligence than their taller peers, a new study suggests. The findings, say researchers, imply that some environmental factors may negatively affect both early childhood height and mental development.

I could not resist commenting on this.  I have noticed food allergies are a major issue for children.  In fact many childhood health conditions including ADHD, asthma, ear infections are a result of food allergies or food sensitivities.  Food sensitivities may also affect the growth and development of children as well as how they handle stress and performance in school, sports and testing.  A simple way to begin to remedy this, is to try having your child take a digestive enzyme before breakfast.  These enzymes can be found in health foods stores, on my website or sometimes in pharmacies.  Taking a digestive enzyme before even one meal can reduce food sensitivites almost 80%.  It is true.  I have seen children spurt up in growth, improve school work and test scores.(in fact parents often send me their improved test scores ) increase their energy and stamina and other skills as well.  This is a simple way that is safe and easy to implement.

Cravings, cravings, cravings

when you crave food, it is usually because you are allergic to that food and the body is craving those ingredients you are missing.  When you are allergic or react or are sensitive to that food, you usually don’t utilize the food and its nutrients.  That prevents feeling satiety.  What do you crave?  After years of experience I have found the four key craving types.

crave sugar=allergic to sugar

crave salt= allergic to fat

crave fiber or complex cars= allergic to fat and sugars

crave protein= allergic to protein.

The symptoms as a result of these allergies - I will speak about next.  Do you crave foods?  What do you crave?  and what do you children crave?

Secret: Digestive enzyme is my micromiracle.  Take an enzyme before breakfast, cravings will be alleviated and so will food allergies.

Stress and enzymes

I am presently in Boston on my book tour, visiting the editors of Body and Soul for a future magazine article  on healthy lving, enzymes  and  MicroMiracles.  Body and Soul is my most favorite magazine for natural living and health education.  They mentioned in our interview that stress is the most common reason   people  reach out to Body and Soul. magazine  So I decided to write about stress.

Stress is inevitable, we all are aware of that.  Just driving in the car can give us our share of stress as most of us do know and experience.  Raising children, flying over the country. .  and with the winter weather, no doubt there are delays at airports and roadways.  So no matter what event or life experience, pleasurable or business stress is part of the experience.  I have found over many years with myself and my patients that when you follow simple principles of natural healthy living, stress although still right there, the vulnerability physically is protected if you are balanced.  What is balanced mean?  And am I balanced?

Good digestion of food, which usually requires taking a digestive enzyme  before one or all of your meals is first and foremost the key to a balanced body mind. Digestion guarantees breakdown and delivery of nutrients.

Consume  more raw food, at least one meal a day where 3/4 of the meal is raw is my recommendation.  You will definitely notice more stamina, energy and resistance to infection.

Exercise 3 days a week for at least 20-30 minutes.  Clears your mind, increases circulation, prevents osteoporosis and even helps reduce the bad cholesterol and increase the good cholesterol

Take a vacation every day.  Meditate, spend time with someone you love, do what you love to do every day even if it is only a few minutes.

Give three hugs a day

And tell someone you love them every day.

You will notice you can combat  stress and be less vulnerable to illness and fatigue and depression. And you may be able to smile or laught a bit more when you encounter a stressful circumstance.
